Privacy Policy
Last updated 7 October 2026
Fused Electrical Co (ACN 649 459 745) is a family owned electrical business in Canberra. This policy explains what personal information we collect through fusedelectricalco.com.au, why we collect it, and how you can access or correct it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
When you ask us for a quote or contact us through the website, we collect what you enter in the form:
- your name, phone number, email address and suburb
- the type of electrical service you need and any message you write
- the page you sent the form from and the time you sent it
When you call or email us, we keep the details you give us so we can quote and do the work. We do not ask for sensitive information such as health details, and we never ask for payment details through the website.
Like most websites, ours also records how it is used: pages visited, the device and browser used, approximate location (from your IP address), and how you arrived (for example from a Google search or ad). This is collected through cookies and similar tools, described below.
How we use it
- to reply to your enquiry, give you a quote and carry out the job
- to contact you about work we are doing or have done for you
- to keep records we are required to keep, such as for compliance certificates and tax
- to understand which pages and ads bring us enquiries, so we can improve the website and our advertising
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not add you to a mailing list from a quote request.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Our website uses Google Tag Manager to load the following tools:
- Google Analytics: shows us how visitors use the site, in aggregate.
- Google Ads: tells us when someone who clicked one of our ads goes on to request a quote, and may show our ads to people who have visited the site.
- Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram): measures visits from, and may show our ads on, Meta platforms.
- Microsoft Clarity: records how pages are used (clicks, scrolling) so we can fix things that are confusing. Text typed into forms is masked.
These tools set cookies and receive information about your visit. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can control ad personalisation at Google Ad Settings and in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences. Blocking cookies does not stop you using the website or requesting a quote.
Our Google reviews section shows reviewers’ names and profile pictures as published on Google. Those pictures load from Google’s servers.
Who we share it with
We only share personal information with people who help us run the business, and only what they need:
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website and securely stores enquiries sent through it
- Microsoft, which provides our email
- Zapier, which passes each website enquiry to our inbox and job system and sends you a confirmation email
- ServiceM8, our job management system, where your enquiry becomes a quote
- Compound Growth, who run our website and marketing and receive a copy of website enquiries to check the forms are working
- Google, Meta and Microsoft, for the analytics and advertising tools described above
- suppliers or subcontractors when needed for your job, for example an energy retailer or distributor for a solar connection
- government bodies or others when the law requires it
Some of these providers store information outside Australia, including in the United States. We use well-known providers with strong security practices, but overseas privacy laws may differ from Australia’s.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries, including those sent through our previous website, for as long as we need them to quote, follow up and look after work at your home. Each enquiry also creates a quote record in our job management system. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time (see below). If we do work for you, we keep job records for as long as the law requires (for tax and electrical compliance this is generally five to seven years).
Keeping it secure
The website uses HTTPS, so information you send is encrypted in transit. Stored enquiries can only be accessed by us through password-protected accounts. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Call us on 0434 913 935 or use our contact form, and we will respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first and we will try to fix it. If you are still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner atoaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
